Privacy Policy
Effective 5 May 2026
1. Introduction
TradyOne ("TradyOne", "we", "us", or "our") provides field service software for trades businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
By using TradyOne you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Name, email, password (stored hashed), business name, role, phone number.
- Business data you enter. Customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, schedules, photos, notes, time entries, and any other content you create in the product.
- Payment information. Processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers — we receive limited identifiers and metadata only.
- Usage data. Pages visited, features used, errors encountered, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type.
- Device information (mobile). Operating system, app version, push notification token (only after you opt in).
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the TradyOne service.
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Send transactional emails (invoices, quotes, password resets, sign-in codes) on your behalf or directly to you.
- Send service announcements, security notifications, and product updates.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, and analyse aggregated usage to improve the product.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party processors required to operate the service:
- Stripe — payments, subscriptions, and refunds.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, object storage, and database infrastructure.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — mobile push notifications (only if you enable them).
- Vercel — hosting of our marketing website.
Each processor handles your data under its own contractual obligations and security standards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g. acquisition).
5. Cookies and tracking
Our marketing site (tradyone.com) uses minimal cookies, primarily to remember your session and preferences. The product webapp (app.tradyone.com) uses cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to store user preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Data retention
We retain account and business data for as long as your account is active. After account closure, we retain data for a reasonable period for backup, audit, and legal compliance purposes, then delete it. Aggregated, anonymised analytics may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to restrict or object to certain processing. New Zealand users have rights under the Privacy Act 2020; Australian users under the Privacy Act 1988; users in the EEA / UK under the GDPR / UK GDPR.
To exercise these rights, email us at support@tradyone.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. International transfers
TradyOne stores data primarily in AWS regions outside your country of residence in some cases. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for international transfers.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
TradyOne is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify account holders by email.
